Purina Farms

I have made a vow to myself to get out and have a fun summer with Draven.  A lot of times it is just easier to stay at home when we only have one car, but not this summer!  We started our 1st week of fun   with a bang.  We had never been out here and it was so much fun.  Everything was free and I was shocked by the time we left, there is so much to do and what a production.  We will definitely be back.
My cute friend Mindy and her girls came and we had Sophia that day.
When we got there, we played with all the little tractors and filled up the back with corn.  Draven loved that part.  He loves his trucks/tractors.  Then there were tons of tunnels that you can climb through but Draven and Sophia were both too nervous about them but Iris and Mira were zooming in and out of them.
We were able to pet these pigs, Draven was much more excited about them then this picture shows.  He kept climbing up on the bench and trying to touch them.  Then they had a giant bunny out that you could pet too.  Then one of my favorite parts was this GIANT cow, like the biggest I have ever seen, came in and moo'd at us so loud and a bunch of times.  It was right in our face and Draven kept jumping when it moo'd but never cried or tried to get away.
Then what we actually drove out there for was this dog show they have every day.  There are a bunch of mazes, jumps, a pool, and frisbee tricks.  Draven loves dogs so I new he would get a kick out of it.
And boy did he!  I have never heard so many belly laughs.  He was so pleased with the Frisbee show. He thought is was hilarious to see the dogs jump up so high and catch them.
This was my favorite part.  The trainer had the frisbee in his mouth, the dog was holding on with his mouth and he was spinning in circles.  Pretty impressive!
 Happy baby during the show
After the show we went to visit all the dogs in their kennels and Draven loved barking back at all of them.

Our last adventure there was a wagon ride behind a very cool tractor :)
We were able to ride past the beautiful horses and Draven had a front row seat to the tractor in action.
He was beyond thrilled.
Perfect kick off the best summer ever :)

Cardinals

1st game of the season!

We kinda won the friend lottery when we moved here and have some of the best friends ever.  They hooked us up with some sweet tickets to the game this week.   We asked them to come with us, but only Paula could come but I am so glad she did!
The game happened to be on Andy's 1st day back from break so Paula, Draven and I headed to the game and Andy met up with us when he got out of school.
We were lucky enough to be there during two of the home runs, I believe there might have been more in the 9th but we had left.  But is was all very exciting, Draven was all about the commotion and clapping.
It ended up being the perfect day, and our seats were in the shade.  I love going to the games, especially after all the excitement I still have over them winning the world series last year.  I got all into who the players were and what they played, so now I know who is actually up and what to expect from them.  It's pretty fun.  I feel like I truly fit in to this crazy place called Cardinal Nation.  It's serious business out here!
Draven spent 99% of his time playing on the stairs and with his new found friend.  He may have found  other "friends" that had Twizzlers.  So it was a pretty good day all around!
Much thanks to the Davis' who make our life so much better is so many ways!

Mothers Day

I am having a wonderful Mothers Day and wanted to write about some amazing Mama's I know.

I have some amazing sisters.  They are all SO different and some of my best friends.  I know I drive them all a little crazy when I come camp out at their houses for a couple weeks at a time when we visit.  But I love spending time with them.  Here are some of my favorite things about them

Deanne, I always call her Mother Mary behind her back.  She is going to roll her eyes at that but it's true.  She does no wrong.  She does everything for her two cute gals.  She is so easy going and never lets anything get to her.  I love talking on the phone to her because she never seems rushed or needing to get off the phone, she will talk to me forever.  I love that all her time is for her girls, running them around to all there soccer practices, games, or events.  She has showed her girls how to be very active and that exactly what they are.  She always has an effortlessly clean house on top of it all.  She is a sweet little Mama and I love that about her.

Emilie,  I always call her my twin but more sparkly.  Emilie is always up for a party.  She is constantly busy and loves it that way.  She has raised some of the best kids.  They are so polite and well behaved.  She just can't bear doing anything with out them.  I think that is a very sweet quality about her.  No matter what she is doing or where she is going, they are coming.  I love her free spirit and that she never seems to get her feelings hurt.  She will always be the young fun Mom and her kids will love her forever for that.  As she hopes to have more babies, I wish her the best and I will be waiting by the phone all day tomorrow.

Brianne, She is my SIL but has always been just like a sister.  While my brother was on his mission, I spent so much time with her.  I went everywhere with her, to baby sitting jobs, hung out at her house, and even on a family vacation.  She has always taken care of me and made me feel included.  I can't tell you of a gal who can get more done.  Brianne is such a hard worker and the best party planner.  She has more to do in a day then I can fathom thinking about.  But she does it all and then will host whatever party you ask for.  She teases a lot about how she has too many kids.  But she is the best Mom.  You will always find her laughing at all the silly things they do.  I hope one day to handle all the chaos of raising a bunch of boys (and hopefully a girl) as well as she does.

My Mom.  My Mom is the friendliest person you will ever meet. As a child it embarrassed me a thousand times over, but it taught be to not be afraid of being nice to people or to talk to a stranger.  My Mom taught me to be very spontaneous and a traveler.  I can't tell you of the countless times we just left the house on a few hours notice and flew somewhere.  My Mom taught me to be very independent.  She took me to Europe one summer, on a whim, and let me be in charge of where were to go that day and how we were going to pay for it.  I had all the maps and all the money. I was 14.  But now I am never afraid of figuring out how to get somewhere. I can figure out the craziest subway systems or foreign money.  My Mom will give you anything you ask for.  It is a quality as a child I easily took advantage of.  But now I understand she just wants to make people happy and it makes her happy to give you all that she can.  I try to be respectful and not ask for too much anymore.

Now as a Mom myself, I can't imagine a better job in the world.  I really mean it.  We could seriously benefit from me having a job but I just can't stand the thought of missing these days with my baby.  He is my world.  I am so thankful that I was able to have a baby and get to spend everyday with him...and that says a lot after today's sacrament meeting ;)  But we just sit around and talk about all the cute things he did that day and smile.  It is the best feeling.   So anyway, I am so thankful for ALL the amazing Mama's in my life and what a great example they are to me.  There are so many people I look up to and learn things from about how to be a better Mom.

Happy Mothers Day and I love you all!

Happy Run

I'm not sure if anything in this world makes him happier.
The second he gets out of the tub, he zooms up and down the hall, in the living room, and into our room.  Laughing the whole time.  He loves his little capes flapping in his wind!
He really is the cutest kid ever.  Look at that face :)

Fun weekend

STL Zoo

We have been having so much fun this weekend.  I have finally been feeling a bit better and we packed in all sorts of fun!   We went to the zoo on Friday and we got POURED on.  We kept telling Sophia(a little gal I watch) that we were on an adventure and it was so fun!  She was barely buying it :)  Needless to say it was a quick trip but Draven finally was big enough to crawl thru the big log.  We had to drag them away from it!

Yesterday, we went to the Magic House.  I saw the Goupon for the year membership and was dying for it!  I quick email to the parentals, Thanks MOM, and we now have endless days we can go have fun there.  We have only been once since it's so pricey and had so much fun, we are so happy that we can go all the time now.  We did a lot of the same things as last time, but Draven didn't mind.

 Driving a Jet boat

He LOVED THIS
He has an obsession with cars so it only made sense.
It totally makes the zurzur sound to tighten the nuts. Pretty cool.
Dad had a race with Draven and I to change a tire, Dad won!
 Checkin under the hood

This was the animal hospital
These little gerbils totally fascinated him.  They were zooming around everywhere.
They had a bunch of cages of Dogs that you could clean or give them a check up
We are drying our dog.
Enjoying a little pack lunch outside
How many Pb and J bites can I stuff in my mouth at once?
Can we say Chubby Bunny?!
A CHOO CHOO!  I love his new words and this is one of them.  He had fun checking out the train.
 "Choochoochoochoo"
Going down the slide big boy style
A favorite...we played in the sand for a long time.
My little monkey thought he needed a better view with the electricity ball

Today after church and naps, we went down the the park.
Ohhhhhh it was HOT.
Dad made us some delicious BBQ while we played on the playground.
After dinner we headed down to the creek.
It was so cute to have him want to hold both of our hands as we waded through it.
Draven ended up falling in twice but he handled it much better the second time!  He was so scared the first time but the water was pretty cold so I don't blame him.

Draven has been loving his Dad around.  This extra long break has been just what we all needed.  I love my cute little family and am so glad we were able to have such a fun weekend!

Hunt #2

Meeting the Easter Bunny
Draven didn't cry like he did with Santa but he just tried to slide out of his lap.  It was so funny.

We were going to get some eggs this time!
Draven did much better this hunt
Wanting his eggs back
Had to check out all his loot
This is Draven's awkward stance...He always touches his belly button when he feels uncomfortable.  It's so silly.
 Cute guys
Thanks random church for all the eggs and the interesting lesson on Easter :)

Hare in the Air

Logan every year hosts an Easter event for the kiddo's.
It's called Hare in the Air because the Easter Bunny comes flying in on a helicopter.
It was quite an event.  Since the weather has been wonderful it was so enjoyable!

They had a petting zoo
He was slightly nervous of a few of them
 LOVED the firetruck.
Isn't he the cutest?!
This was the hunt....dun dun, he totally didn't get it.
Dad volunteered at the event and was able to get into Draven's hunt and scored him a few eggs!
Grandma and Grandpa came up to hang with us.  Look how cute and little he looks next to those two!
 Meeting McGruff
Draven loved all the cheering for the arrival of the Bunny.

I was laughing so hard when it finally got close.  Doesn't the bunny look ridiculous stuffed in there?

We had been working with Draven to get him to point to my tummy when we asked where the baby was.  I was feeling super crappy that day, so we figured we might as well tell Andy's parents why I was not so much fun that day.  Draven performed perfectly.  I whispered in his ear "Where is the baby?"  He came right over and pulled up my shirt.  They were SO excited! Their reaction made it so fun to have them be the first people we told!  Whoo hoo to another cute baby!
